Greg McCarthy

CEO Australia & New Zealand

Greg McCarthy has more than 35 years’ experience in the travel industry holding several leadership positions. He founded two travel management companies in Australia, building them up from small operations to highly successful medium-sized businesses. Greg has worked for international airlines and held an executive directorship in a global TMC, achieving a strong track record delivering for customers. He was co-founder of Platinum Travel Corporation. CTM acquired Platinum’s Brisbane and Sydney offices in 2018, with Greg commencing as CTM CEO Australia and New Zealand on 1 July 2018.

Larry Lo

CEO Asia

Joining Westminster Travel in 2008, Larry Lo is responsible for the company’s overall management, sales operations and continued development of strategic alliance partnerships across the Asia region. He started his career in 1988 as a Travel Consultant and worked in several travel companies in Hong Kong and Canada gaining an in-depth insight into the international travel industry. Today, he manages the CTM business in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Macau, Taiwan and Singapore. He currently serves as a Chairman on the Society of IATA Passenger Agents (SIPA) and a director of the Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong (TIC).

Debbie Carling

CEO Europe

Debbie has worked in the travel industry for more than 30 years’ in several key strategic and senior roles, including Commercial Director at Britannic Travel. During this time Debbie led the setup of global brand FCM Travel Solutions and became the Executive General Manager of Europe. In 2011 Debbie joined Chambers Travel and became COO soon after. Debbie successfully instilled new company processes, productivity and developments in supplier relations. In December 2014 Chambers was acquired by Corporate Travel Management, during which time Debbie played a key role in the successful transition. Debbie was appointed as CEO Europe for CTM in July 2016.

Chris Thelen

CEO North America

Chris Thelen joined Chambers Travel (UK, Europe) in 1999 and led a management buy-out of the company five years later. Under his leadership, Chambers Travel more than quadrupled its turnover and its staff, and became an award-winning business with offices across eight European countries. Chambers Travel was acquired by CTM in December 2014, where Chris remained at the helm of CTM’s European operations until his transfer to CEO North America in July 2016.

Jamie Pherous

Jamie Pherous founded Corporate Travel Management Limited (CTM) in Brisbane in 1994. He has built the Group from its headquarters in Brisbane to become one of the world’s largest travel management companies.

Prior to establishing CTM, Jamie Pherous was employed by Arthur Andersen, now Ernst & Young, as a qualified Chartered Accountant, specialising in business services and financial consulting, notably in Australia, Papua New Guinea and the United Arab Emirates.

 

Ewen Crouch AM

Chairman

Ewen Crouch was a Partner at Allens from 1988-2013. He served as a member of the firm’s board for 11 years, including four years as Chairman of Partners and was co-head mergers & acquisitions and equity capital markets from 2004-2010. He was a director of Mission Australia from 1995, including as Chairman from 2009, until retiring in November 2016. He is a member of the Commonwealth Remuneration Tribunal and a director of Jawun and Sydney Symphony Orchestra. He served as a member of the Takeovers Panel from 2010-2015. Ewen Crouch was appointed as Chairman on 25 March 2019.

 

Laura Ruffles

Laura Ruffles is CTM’s Global Chief Operating Officer and, in late 2015, was appointed an Executive Director in recognition of her leadership contribution. She has significant local, regional and global industry experience and, in a career of more than 20 years, has led teams across sales, account management, operations and technology. Laura Ruffles is responsible for all aspects of CTM’s business performance. She joined CTM in 2010 and has been a key contributor to its successful growth. She is also a Director of the Australian Federation of Travel Agents.

Greg Moynihan

Independent Non-Executive Director

Director since June 2010

Greg Moynihan is a former Chief Executive Officer of Metway Bank Limited. He has also held senior executive positions with Citibank Australia and Suncorp Metway. Since leaving Suncorp Metway in 2003, Greg Moynihan has focused on his commitments as a Non-Executive Company Director, as well as pursuing business interests in the investment management and private equity sectors.

Admiral Robert J. Natter, USN (Ret.)

Independent Non-Executive Director

Robert Natter retired from active military service in 2003 and now has over 15 years of experience in both the government and private sectors in the North American market. In his Navy career, Robert Natter served as the Commander of the U.S. Seventh Fleet operating throughout Asia and the Indian Ocean; Commander in Chief of the U.S Atlantic Fleet; and the first Commander of U.S. Fleet Forces, overseeing all Continental U.S. Navy bases, facilities and training operations.

Sophie Mitchell

Independent Non-Executive Director

Director since September 2019

Sophie Mitchell has over 30 years of corporate advisory, capital markets and equity research experience. She retired from Morgans in June 2019 after over a decade as an Executive Director in Morgans Corporate and, prior to this, she was Morgans Head of Research.

Sophie now concentrates on her Board roles and is a Non-Executive Director of ASX-listed Flagship Investments Limited, Silver Chef Limited and Apollo Tourism & Leisure Limited. She is also a Non-Executive Director of Morgans Holdings (Australia) Limited and the Morgans Foundation Limited, a Board member for the Australia Council for the Arts and a member of Australian Super’s Queensland Advisory Council. She was a member of the Australian Government Takeovers Panel between 2009 and 2018.

Neale O’Connell

Global Chief Financial Officer

Neale O’Connell joined CTM as Global CFO in July 2019, bringing a wealth of experience in listed company financial management built over a 25-year career. Neale spent 14 years at Tatts Group before departing in 2018 as Group CFO following the merger with Tabcorp. Neale has deep public company experience; he managed the major financial elements for the floats of Smorgon Steel and Tattersall’s and managed multinational projects as Finance Director for contracting and logistics supplier Delta Group. Neale is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the Finance and Treasury Association.

Anne Tucker

Global Chief Legal Officer & Company Secretary

Anne Tucker joined CTM in September 2019 as Global Chief Legal Officer & Company Secretary. Anne is an experienced corporate lawyer and company secretary with extensive experience in corporate governance, regulatory engagement and merger and acquisition activity.

Anne has most recently been a consultant providing legal and related advisory services to clients in the gambling and entertainment sector. Anne has also held various legal and compliance roles over a 12 year period with Tatts Group Limited, including the position of General Counsel & Company Secretary, and prior to this worked as a lawyer in both private practice and government roles.

Anne holds both Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws (Hons) qualifications, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance. Anne is a member of the Governance Institute of Australia.

Scott Ward

Global Head of Partnerships

Scott joined CTM’s Queensland office as the Head of Client Management in 2011 and quickly established himself as someone dedicated to delivering results that were both positive and provided a real impact.
This saw him join the General Manager Succession Plan after his first year with the business and move in to the GM role for Victoria in mid-2013.
In 2017 Scott moved into the role of Global Head of Partnerships. With a focus on technology-based innovation, this position is responsible for aligning efficiencies and optimising partnerships across CTM’s global business.
Before joining CTM, Scott held various roles in the travel industry including the Australian National Sales Manager for one of the largest travel technology companies globally. He has brought this technical knowledge of best-in-market processes to enhance the alignment of solutions offered to CTM’s clients.
With over 15 years’ worth of experience in the travel industry, Scott has an excellent overall understanding of the intricacies of travel and travel management and the most effective ways of applying these to achieve optimal outcomes.

Annabel Ausmus

Global Chief Marketing Officer

Annabel Ausmus is an experienced marketing and communications professional with more than 15 years’ experience managing digital and traditional marketing strategy and implementation in both B2B and B2C disciplines.

Annabel brings a wealth of travel industry marketing experience to CTM, having worked across corporate, leisure (luxury to budget brands), events, wholesale and loyalty travel for privately owned, listed entities and not for profit organisations.

During her time at Corporate Travel Management, Annabel has worked across global growth strategy and entry into the ASX, including a highly successful IPO and the acquisition and rebranding of a number of international companies.

Annabel holds a BA (Hons) degree in Journalism, is a Certified Practicing Marketer (CPM), an Associate Member of the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI), and sits on the AMI Industry Advisory Group.

Andrea Joseph

Chief People Works Officer

Andrea is an experienced professional with a proven track record in developing successful solutions and delivering outcomes across all aspects of Human Resources.
A highly skilled leader and project manager, Andrea designed and delivered a Leadership Cultural Change initiative at Suncorp before joining CTM in 2012 to lead CTM’s people functions. As Chief People Works Officer, Andrea is responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining talent who deliver great customer service, and valuable innovative solutions for our clients. Andrea’s role also ensures global accountability in delivering CTM’s shared vision of on-demand flexible learning and high performance coaching to ensure continuous personnel development; such as CTM’s High Performance (HiPo) program. In addition to a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in HR and IR, Andrea is also an Accredited Level 2 Executive Coach. Andrea is also responsible, in AU/NZ, for HR, ICT, Health and Safety, and Facilities.

Paul Healy

Global Head of Information Systems and Security

Paul Healy joined CTM in 2008, firstly as the ANZ IT Manager, later moving to lead Group IT operations, before taking on a Global management role in May 2016. Over this period he has been responsible for ensuring CTM’s global computing, communications and security infrastructure has maintained pace with the company’s rapid growth. Paul is also responsible for coordinating CTM’s global cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, privacy and compliance programs, as well as managing CTM’s Business Intelligence and analytics platforms.
Paul is a highly experienced IT professional with over 15 years of IT management experience across various industries. He has led teams across various IT disciplines including infrastructure management, software development, ERP and support services.
Paul holds a Masters’ degree in Information Technology majoring in Enterprise Systems from QUT, and is certified in both Project Management and Business Analysis. He is an Associate Member of the Australian Computing Society.

Tracey Edwards

Event Travel Management - Global Strategic Lead and GM AU/NZ

Tracey has been with ETM since its inception in early 2011 and brings more than 30 years’ experience in the travel and event industry managing operations around the world, including three years living, establishing and growing an event business in China.
Over the past 8 years the ETM team, under Tracey’s leadership, has evolved from a localised specialist Sydney office to a global offering with more than 100 staff across the world, providing a range of expert event, meeting and group travel services. Tracey ensures the team are delivering event solutions that meet our clients’ diverse needs and are at the forefront of technological efficiency. These achievements have been recognised by the industry, including winning the AFTA award for ‘Best Business Events Travel Agency’ multiple times.
